Personality:
[Competitive / Show-Off] - Never afraid of a challenge, Narcou enjoys showing other deer up and and accepting challenges simply to prove that her abilities are superior in the most conspicuous way possible.

[Conceited / Snobby] - Narcou holds an exaggerated belief that she is the best berserker in Luteae, even if proven wrong. She holds an air of vanity about her and tends to use herself as a basis of comparison to others. As far as she's concerned, no one can be as good as her.

[Insecure] - Though her ego is inflated, Narcou actually holds some deep-seeded insecurity. Though now she greatly values her antlers, this was not always the case when she was younger. Before, they were blatant symbols of abnormality for her, putting her in the spotlight for being "different", whether or not anyone actually treated her as such. Slowly she began overcoming this insecurity, but is still sensitive to strangers and fears their judgement. Her need to be better than others (and therefore, compensate for her oddity) is strongly related to this.

[Loud / Talkative] - Unlike her brother, Narcou isn't hesitant to strike up conversation with any and all. Though her favorite subject is often, of course, herself, she's quite easy to talk to to those who will listen. This doe is not afraid to speak her opinion and to do so loudly.

[Conscientious / Hard-Working] - Despite her stuck-up attitude, Narcou takes pride in her work and sets her mind on doing things thoroughly and correctly. In her job setting, Narcou takes particular care to patrol the lands of Luteae to make sure there are no predators creeping about.

[Over-achiever] - Going hand-in-hand with her work ethic, she likes to go above and beyond what's expected of her. This need to perform better than her peers is yet more fuel to feed her ego.

[Loyal] - Narcou's training to become a berserker fostered in her a greater devotion to her herd. Her job is to defend Luteae and she has taken that to heart.

Religious Beliefs:
Hailing from the Kingdome of Luteae, like many others, Narcou believes in the spirits of Salanfyer. However, with a messenger as a father, the doe heard stories from Deum about the old gods. She ignored them for the most part, but around the time her antlers began to grow, she found her interest peaked at the mention of Uosqua, the goddess of free will. As it was said that this deity had control over those with mutations, Narcou found herself secretly praying to her, though she was unsure if Uosqua could hear her or be able to help. The idea of a possibility though, helped calm her nerves.

Strengths:
-Persistence.
-Speed.
-Doesn't waver easily. Isn't afraid of a challenge or taking risks.

Flaws:
-Can get carried away by proving others wrong/narrow minded.
-Acts on emotion, even if she doesn't show them outwardly.
-Has a hard time working with others, since she thinks she's the best and can handle anything.

Fears:
-Being the odd one out.
-Being alone and/or abandoned.
-Being looked down upon.

Orientation: Panromantic / Bisexual

Relationships:
- none yet -

History:

The Air of New Life's reign was in full effect when the two fawns were born. Their mother had come up with potential names journeys before and was thrilled to be able to use them both, as she hadn't expected twins – the male would be Creed, the female, Narcou. It was the happiest moment of the new parents' life until that point and they took great pride in what they had brought into the world. It was hard for their mother at first, having a messenger as a spouse who had to leave frequently on business. But that just meant that the time he was there was more cherished, and the fawns were inadvertently brought up to deeply respect their father.

From the beginning, it was clear that they were opposites. Narcou was rambunctious and loud, leading the way in and out of trouble, with quiet Creed calmly following behind and cleaning up her messes. They developed a sort of odd symbiosis together over time, and for the first few journeys, their simple lives were filled with fun and games.

As was normal in a fawn his age, Creed grew tiny nubs at the top of his head – the beginnings of the antlers he would surely grow later in life. But, strangely, Narcou soon produced them as well. Of course, as a young fawn of barely six journeys, she was not aware that there was anything wrong with her. In fact, the tiny buttons she adorned were finally one thing she had in common with her brother and she felt they'd grow closer because of it. Her parents, however, were a little more concerned. Her mother tried to ignore it at first, questioning whether she was seeing them correctly, but as the nubs grew more prominent, she realized there was something wrong. She sought out other, more experienced mothers and even the herb keepers for advice, but they shed little light on what was happening to her daughter. Considering Narcou seemed to be in good health otherwise, it just seemed to be a strange mutation of sorts and there was nothing to be done. She was concerned for her fawn's future, but her spouse was there to comfort her with hopeful, optimistic words, though even he was unsure of what would become of Narcou.

As the first quest of Narcou's life began nearing its last quarter, things began to change. It was subtle at first, but soon Narcou's behavior began changing. As the nubs continued to grow, so did her aggression. She frequently used her brother as a begrudging sparring partner. But the problems didn't really start until later on when she began branching out and trying to make friends with the other fawns her age. Questions were asked by the others, wondering with blunt honesty why she was different and didn't look like the other does. It had never occurred to her til then that she was the odd one out, but soon she found herself being mocked, labeled as "weird" or abnormal and mistaken as her brother. Her usual headstrong attitude diminished in the face of anyone outside her family and she became convinced that everyone was talking behind her back, whether or not this was actually true. The young doe even began questioning her own identity and reached out to her parents for an explanation they couldn't provide.

Trying to distract her from her self-doubt, her father began teaching both Narcou and Creed about their future ranks. He taught them about the responsibilities of being a messenger and hoped they'd want to join him in his rank. Narcou, however, had other things on her mind and had a hard time even sitting still for what her father had to say. Soon she began skipping them altogether, instead finding a quiet spot where she could be alone. Her insecurity had led to anger and she took it out on the trees, as if head-butting them for long enough would solve her problems.

One day, while giving a tree another bout of stress relief, a young stag approached her in the forest. He was around her age and itching to fight and she, having been all riled up already, willingly obliged. Their young antlers clashed together time and again and though she had proven to be a bit larger for a doe, he still had the upper hand in terms of weight and steadily pushed Narcou back, trying to pin her against the tree. She panicked – never before had she felt scared for her life. Her spars with her brother had always ended with her as the victor (as Creed was less than enthusiastic about fighting and usually let her win just to get it over with), but now suddenly she was approaching the loser spot. With a surge of desperate adrenaline, Narcou just managed to avoid a final thrust from her foe and darted away from him and the tree. It took him a moment to realize what had happened, and it became clear that his reaction time was inferior to that of her own. Rushing towards him as he began to turn around, Narcou threw her entire bodyweight into her next attack. The stag wasn't expecting so much force as their antlers once again met and was thrown off balance, falling to the ground before her. As he got up to try again, Narcou brandished her antlers and stamped her hoof, trying to appear like the battle hadn't taken its toll on her. Fortunately, the stag didn't catch her bluff and fled the scene. Narcou stayed where she was, panting heavily. Her body was tired, but she was filled with an undeniable thrill. She had never fought like that, but it gave her such a rush. Brimming with excitement, she rushed back home to brag about her victory to her brother.

It was from then on that the doe became invested in becoming stronger. She had decided, against her father's wishes, that the path of berserker was what she wanted to follow. The spar she had with that stag had lit a flame of confidence within her. Her antlers, which before had always filled her with uncertain self-loathing, were slowly becoming tools to use to her advantage. She wanted to use them to prove her worth and protect the rest of the Kingdome. So she trained hard and fought often, challenging other young deer to battles until she became full of herself. She had a right to be proud though, at least to an extent, as it was her speed that usually aided her the most and led to victory. Narcou used her gift wisely and managed to fight her way to a respected position as a berserker.

It's been a few quests since then and as she's grown in strength, so has her ego.

Roleplay Sample:
The glistening snow crunched softly beneath her hooves as she ventured out from the trees' generous refuge. The clearing was dead quiet, seemingly lifeless, but still the doe's large ears swiveled around cautiously, attempting to pick up any potential sign of danger.
Not that she was scared or anything. But her mother, like many other does she was sure, had taught her the importance of discretion and apparently that lesson had stuck. Narcou flicked her tail in annoyance and brashly stepped forward, deliberately making as much noise as possible.
So what if someone heard her? Let them come. Thinking about her mother was one of many triggers for riling her up recently; it had been a journey or more since they had spoken and gotten in a fight. She didn't approve of Narcou's "bold and reckless behavior". Pff. As if she had any authority over her anymore. Narcou fumed as she kept her pace, heading straight into the middle of the forest clearing, her mind occupied with the replaying of their last encounter.
